On line 2, the value for the givens field is "Mary J", the suggested correction is "Betsy J". Submitted anonymously. The following comment was attached: Appropriate name should be Betsy J ... her maiden name was actually Elizabeth "Betsy" Jane Sturgeon 1830-1910
This correction was evaluated by NLF: I have checked the image of the original form and am very sure that the suggested correction does not reflect the original. This comment was added: Errors often occured when the census was taken. This was obviously one of those times.
